Special grant to the Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators on Gotland
Lithuania has been chosen as the country in focus at the Gothenburg Book Fair in 2028. In order to showcase the wide range of literature written in Lithuania in recent years, a substantial number of translations will be required. Therefore, the Fund Board decided to implement a three-year translator programme at the Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators on Gotland, funded by the Cooperation Fund.
The project allows for four individuals to stay at the Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators in Visby for a four-week period each during 2026, at a total cost of SEK 100 000. Another SEK 100 000 is allocated to support four individuals spending four weeks each during 2027, and the same amount for the same number of individuals in 2028.
