A special grant together with both sister funds to Baltic Film Festival in Stockholm

The fund received an application for a film festival focusing on film from the Baltic states, stating:

“The Baltic film industry has met a number of challenges since its inception in the beginning of 20th century which have only made it stronger. We intend, through screenings, seminars with directors and industry mingles, to bring forth the best quality of Baltic Sea films to the Swedish audiences; both film lovers and professionals. The aim is to solidify a long term cooperation and coproduction among the Baltic countries and in doing so also strengthen the Baltic cultural identity”.

The board decided to approve and allocate SEK 50 000 (around EUR 5 000), provided that both sister funds also have positive decisions. Since both sister funds also support this project the festival is going to be launched September 5-10. Organizer: Kulturhuset/Stadsteatern.
