New projects granted - six positive decisions in the spring season
The Cooperation fund´s board decided to grant six of the 39 received applications. Three of those were project grants and three travel grants.
The following projects were granted:
#P2207_Ruta Lukosiunaite, “Building partnerships to create sustainability lessons for Lithuanian schools”, EUR 3000
The project is to create and test a series of 5 integrated lessons on the topics of sustainability and climate change. This pilot series will help to translate the applicant´s knowledge on environmental studies and sustainability science gained in Lund University in Sweden, creating a social learning experience. The target group is a secondary school community in Lithuania: a class of students from grades 9 or 11, and teachers of different subjects such as geography, history, English language, ethics, physics, biology, and arts.
#P2214_Saulius Pivoras, “From Recognition to its Renewal: The Role of Lithuania in Swedish Policy towards the Baltic States 1917-1991”, EUR 3000
This is to finalize and publish a monograph, dealing with the Swedish policy towards the Baltic States, particularly having in mind Lithuania with its specific problems (especially Vilnius and Klaipėda disputes during the interwar period) and situation, during a major part of the 20th century, i. e., 1917-1991.

SLOW is a romantic drama - a second feature film by talented Lithuanian director Marija Kavtaradze, and a coproduction between M-Films (LT) and Garagefilm (SE) film production company.
#T2208_Sarah Mitrike and #T2209_Colm Ó Ciarnáin, “Fringe Idea Exchange networking – an Artist Residency Exchange Program between Zagare and Tranås”, EUR 1500 + 1500
to share ideas of how we can build on the more direct impact we have on the local communities in which we are based, Zagare and Tranås, to establish an Artist Residency Exchange Program between Zagare and Tranas, for artists to develop their work within the local communities during their residency time, and to present their practice to the schools and Youth groups.
#T2210_Auguste Vickunaite, “Noise Taxi”, EUR 1900
Noise Taxi is a project which began with support from the Lithuanian council for culture. A small van is turned into a mobile and autonomous sound, music and performance stage, allowing the artists to perform in remote places for small audiences in open fields. The project idea is to bring Noise Taxi to Sweden in collaboration with Vilnius-based artist and instrument builder Sholto Dobie for five days, making a series of site specific performances for small audiences in Stockholm region and Gothenburg. In each location a local artist or musician will be invited to use the Noise Taxi as a site for a performance, at this stage Arv & Miljö (Gothenburg) and Jon Collin (Stockholm) have agreed to participate.
A total of EUR 13 900, (SEK 145 000) was allocated.
