From vision to reality: Spring projects to support

The Sweden–Lithuania Cooperation Fund is proud to support a new round of projects that reflect our mission: to foster deeper understanding, collaboration, and exchange between our two countries. Through our annual grants program, we back initiatives that bring together Swedish and Lithuanian partners in fields such as culture, education, research, civic engagement, and innovation.

This spring we received a total of 52 applications of diverse and inspiring ideas, showcasing the creativity and commitment of individuals and organizations working to build lasting cross-border connections. After its meeting on May 6 2025, the Board of the Sweden-Lithuania Cooperation Fund decided to support the following projects:

  • #M2501 Francesco Rufini - a media grant on the medieval amber trade routes between Lithuania and Sweden, EUR 1500.

  • #P2510 Rimantė Daugėlaitė-Cegelskienė - a project grant named ““Would You Buy This” at Vilnius Short Film Festival”, EUR 3000

  • #P2512 Viktorija Smailyte, a project grant named “Seminar on Nordic woodworking for carpenters”, EUR 3000

  • #P2516 Aiste Balciunaitiene, a project grant about sustainable development of functional hybrid 3D nanomaterials using plant-derived components, EUR 3500

  • #P2526 Olav Fumarola Unsgaard, a project grant supporting emerging Lithuanian talents in literature for the Gothenburg book fair, EUR 3500

  • #P2530 Vilius Vaitkevicius, a project grant named Coach & Lead, bringing basketball coaches from both sides of the Baltic Sea together, EUR 4000

  • #P2531 Sophia Alexandersson, a project grant named “Music Exchange”, EUR 2000

  • #T2506 Miroslavas Gerasimovičius, a travel grant to bring together and discuss co-operation perspectives between the Lithuanian Firemen and rescuers trade union and Brandmännens Riksförbund, EUR 3000.

  • #T2507 Marija Repšytė, a travel grant to develop professional knowledge in the field of artists' book making through research at the Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation and the Swedish art scene, EUR 1000.

  • #T2508 Miglė Survilaitė, a travel grant to strengthen cooperation - cultural and intellectual exchange between Moderna Museet & MO Museum, EUR 2000

  • #T2516 Laurynas Puidokas, a travel grant named “Exploring International Career Collaboration between Career Centers in Sweden and Lithuania”, EUR 2000

  • #T2517 Kristyna Müller, a travel grant allowing Centrum för fotografi to participate in the International photography symposium in Nida, EUR 1500.

    A total of EUR 30 000 was allocated.
